Senior Engineering Manager, Data Platform

Calendly is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for its Data Platform, reporting directly to the VP of Data. The manager will own the development and expansion of the infrastructure and data platforms that enable all Calendly teams to leverage and rely on trusted data. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that partners closely with product Engineering, Product management, product Analytics, Security, Infrastructure and AI/ML teams. Responsibilities span Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering functions. Remote US. Salary: $223,550–$325,068 USD depending on tier.

• 7+ years experience leading data and analytics engineering teams. • 10+ years of overall development — especially relating to Data Platforms and Products (SQL, Python, Java, Scala, or strongly typed languages preferred). • Strong understanding of data warehousing, batch and streaming data pipelines, data orchestration, data modeling and transformation frameworks, metadata/lineage/governance systems, and data observability and reliability practices. • Ability to balance technical excellence with business outcomes; strong systems thinking and prioritization skills. • Deep proficiency with data application development and building scalable architecture for enterprise grade data warehouses and streaming engines. • Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects. • Previous experience leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution. • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America; Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time.
