Director, Engineering, Grid Platform & Reporting Services

Smartsheet is hiring a Director of Engineering for the Views Platform and Reporting pillar. In this role, you will own the Grid Service, Reports Engine, Dynamic Views, and Grid Orchestration layer that power the entire product, plus the reporting surfaces and views that millions of customers interact with every day. You will lead 3-4 engineering teams through Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers, drive architectural evolution of the core platform, and partner with product leadership to co-drive roadmap priorities. The role requires deep technical credibility and a track record of driving results through an org of 30-50 engineers.

• 12+ years of software engineering and system architecture experience • 5+ years in engineering leadership, including 3+ years managing large organizations with experience leading managers • Track record of building and scaling high-traffic, high-availability enterprise SaaS products • Strong technical credibility; ability to drive architectural decisions at scale
