Senior Systems Engineer, Technical Solutions (US-East)

Datadog's Technical Solutions Operations (TSO) team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who wants to own enterprise platforms end-to-end. The engineer will manage the full lifecycle of systems TS depends on (Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, and custom tools), design solutions, build integrations and automations, and contribute to the Datadog codebase for TS-specific features. Salary range: $110,000-$160,000 USD.

• 3-5 years of experience with enterprise platforms and production software (Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, or similar). • Strong in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript. • Ability to work across the stack: build a backend service, wire up a frontend, design an API, and set up the CI/CD pipeline. • Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar). • Experience building AI-powered features (LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks). • Systems thinking: design reliable, maintainable, scalable solutions that integrate with multiple upstream and downstream systems. • Experience contributing to a large shared codebase with established engineering practices.
