Senior Project Engineer – Power Infrastructure

The Senior Project Engineer plays a critical role in driving project execution from preconstruction through closeout on large-scale utility and power infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, managing technical documentation, vendor coordination, and quality assurance while serving as a bridge between field operations and office teams. You will: • Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality standards • Contribute to project scheduling, phasing plans, and look-ahead planning • Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts • Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades • Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with design plans and specifications • Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams • Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation

• 5–7+ years of experience in utility, transmission, substation, or power infrastructure project management (or equivalent demonstrated expertise managing substation construction projects) • Strong understanding of transmission and substation installations • Ability to read, interpret, and work with: – Physical design drawings – General arrangement drawings – Equipment layouts – Foundation and structural drawings • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera • Familiarity with applicable standards (NFPA, ANSI, or IEC) for substation and transmission work

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or pursuit of licensure • Experience with Revit or BIM coordination • Knowledge of high-voltage substation construction methodologies • Track record of mentoring junior engineers or coordinators
