Senior Systems Engineer, Vehicle Security

Waymo is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Vehicle Security within its Hardware Engineering organization. The engineer will develop and own comprehensive vehicle system security requirements, work with OEMs to define and implement vehicle network and module security architecture, define requirements for features based on security concepts (Digital Key, SOTA), create detailed security requirements for Waymo software interfaces, and develop V&V plans for platform security. Hybrid in Mountain View, CA. Travel: 6–8 times/year internationally. Salary: $198,000–$248,000 USD.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or similar. • Thorough understanding of vehicle communications and module security technology (Autosar SecOC, Security relevant services in ISO14229-1 UDS, HSMs, etc.). • Deep knowledge of vehicle communication networks and protocols (Physical and Application layer: CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet, DBCs, etc.) and understanding of the embedded systems that control via these networks. • Ability to create and negotiate targets and requirements with OEMs and Waymo adjacencies, and create and execute effective DVPs.
