Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions. Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history. Order and receive parts and rigging orders from outside customers. Monitor open sales orders for fulfillment and corresponding purchase orders (if applicable). Responsible for freight administration, which includes ascertaining the most economical method for shipping parts and rigging to its destination, depending on size, volume, and needed by date. Establish contract pricing with preferred vendors and utilize vendors with favorable payment terms. Relieve inventory on parts posted to work orders or sales orders. Maintain accurate inventory and be responsible for reorder points, including minimum and maximum quantities. Perform periodic cycle counts and perform year-end inventory count. Process all paperwork in a timely manner. Follow all Company policies and procedures. Provide the highest level of customer service, both internal and external. Play an active role in developing the safety culture, making safety a natural part of all work. Identify and report safety concerns. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
