About the Role
Okta is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, AI to join the global AI engineering team and lead the US-based group of AI engineers, working in close partnership with peers in India. The team builds high-impact, user-facing AI features, delivering applied AI solutions that transform employee and customer experiences, while building agentic AI solutions that make innovation scalable and secure. Locations include Bellevue WA, Chicago IL, and San Francisco CA.
Requirements
• 12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in applied AI/ML or intelligent automation
• 3+ years leading engineering teams in US while collaborating daily with India-based counterparts
• Hands-on knowledge of LLMs, AI agent frameworks, orchestration platforms, RAG pipelines, and vector search
• Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), APIs, and microservices at scale
