Director, Engineering - Okta Integration Network

Okta is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering charter for the Okta Integration Network (OIN), driving the evolution of a platform that powers 8,000+ integrations across the Okta ecosystem. The role oversees distributed teams in the US and India and is accountable for delivering secure, scalable, standards-based integration capabilities. The Director will shape the roadmap for cross-app identity security, expand the OIN catalog and strengthen enterprise-grade extensibility. Requires acquaintance with IAM standards like OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and governance workflows. Hybrid in San Francisco, CA. Salary: $275,000–$378,000 USD (SF Bay Area).

• 12+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering organizations, including experience managing other managers. • Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes. • Demonstrated success in collaborating with product and design counterparts to build and execute a long-term, customer-focused roadmap. • Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing engineering talent at all levels. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a large, globally distributed organization. • U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee; working on a U.S. visa does NOT qualify).
