Developer Platform Engineer

Hume AI is a Series B startup dedicated to building artificial intelligence directly optimized for human well-being. We are seeking a Developer Platform Engineer to join our team. You will drive the success of our developer tools, ensure APIs are developer-friendly and highly usable, create comprehensive documentation, and provide top-tier developer support. Hume's models understand and generate subtle tones of voice and emotional expression with <300ms latency.

About You Based on the role as a Developer Platform Engineer focused on APIs, developer tools, documentation, and developer support, strong candidates typically have: • Experience building and maintaining developer-facing APIs and SDKs • Strong technical writing skills for documentation • Proficiency in backend development languages (Python, TypeScript, or similar) • Experience with REST or WebSocket APIs in production environments • Passion for developer experience and making complex systems accessible • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams
